Nothing to see, including the east coast. The stj will be whisked off the coast and nothing will emerge. Doesn't matter if it goes inland either, no stream interaction. Would just be rain. Something needs to change in the 500mb pattern. The actually southern stream side of it has improved greatly(though I think it can still be better).

she's singing loud now...it's over.

I admit i'll peek in at ncep in the morning in case a hail mary was caught. Other then that, at least i'll be back to a productive week again lol. No euro for me.

Til the next one whenever that might be. Kinda looks like we are headed into a more traditional la nina pattern with more northern stream systems (too far north for us)... haven't really dwelled on what's after this week though.

oh well :bike:

The Bus never crashed because it was never started. The real failure was the models trying to force some type of "phasing" what ended up a basically southern stream system with no northern stream interaction. The hints were always there.

Honestly very few folks ever had a chance at all except a few folks in PA and far eastern OH as well as parts of KY. Otherwise--very few had a chance with this. I don't know where this whole idea that a storm was going to crawl straight N up the apps really ever came from. It would have been nearly impossible for that--and is still nearly impossible. I think sometimes folks get too excited for nothing then become too angry/distraught when that doesn't happen.

scanning for angry distraught posters

and actually Baro, there were model runs showing app runners. In fact many showed them running the apps to the NC/VA border then making a turn right. Let's not forget todays ggem as well. So to make it sound as though it was a bunch of made up weenie fantasy is kinda disingenuous.

Just say'n :)

I am not saying it was a weenie fantasy--just saw some comments talking about a storm moving straight N and other nonsense. Sure parts of E/S Ohio/KY/PA are in the zone--but there isn't going to be any big storm threats in Michigan or areas N or W. There is a limit to possibilities--it would be like if I was hoping the storm would tick NW into the Northern Plains. Just not going to happen.

HA HA local met is keeping snow for Wednesday because of the Canadian! :arrowhead:

Beyond this there is really nothing at all in the offering to speak of in the next 7 days. Unless your in northern MI.... Buckeye you see anything we can talk about now?lol

we'll be well south of a clipper ushering in the next arctic shot. after that we freeze until that relaxes and maybe offers something. Basically not really.

btw, your local met actually mentioned the canadian???

He said one model is bringing snow here for Wednesday and he is keeping that chance in his forecast. What one model brought snow? Canadian! :arrowhead: but in about 25 mins it will be gone. I am willing to take that to the bank.
