should be still very far south probably arkansas or just east. Where were you getting that observation from

Was looking at pressure map wrong. I'm driving, so itsnoteasy to really look at it closely lol

Www.usairnet.com has current pressures in the us. But it's still south.

What you gota be kidding me? Seriously? Where did he have 2-4 at again? What about Wilmington?

not sure basically what i said.... he didn't really get specific. He showed the models which had nothing for areas where its already begun snowing and said the models were terrible. I think he's just covering his butt by giving a little bit to the cmh area with the caveat that the models had nothing.

Uhm, mets? This is all still headed north! What is going on with this thing???

im trying to be as objective as possible and put my weenieism aside. Im not seeing the shunt east nor the slow down north. Precip returns now into southern franklin county and ILN still says 20% chance of snow. What is also interesting is the rain/snow line has slowed down in it's progression southeast which tells me the warm moist air lifting north is putting up a fight. At this point the only way i could see these 'no snow' forecasts verify is if the precip shield degrades as it moves in if the coastal starts taking over.... but it still looks pretty healthy so far

On a serious note, the dry air is going to eat away the snow as it heads north imo.

really...i thought about that too but i'm not seeing it here. http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=ILN&product=NCR&overlay=11101111&loop=yes

also, this isn't about getting a snowstorm, it's about not even having flurries in the forecast.

Yeah, considering I didn't even have the chance of snow in the forecast 18hours ago... I am currently flirting with 1" here...

Yea and if you were 35 -40 miles east youd probably be looking good right now. Evansville is an area I've been watching all day and youve remained right on the edge of the cutoff line lol. Looks like you have some decent returns over you though.
