Walpole Joe
Long time lurker since 2005, don't post much but maybe I should as mom born and raised in Westerly. Anyway, up here in Waterville Valley, temp -2 already. For first time since I started dating my wife in 1997, more snow and more impressive piles back home in Walpole than up here. Not bad here, but not like home Thanks for the insight, men.
Semper911
I bet you are high 50s easy, sweet spot over and over. Every storm Mets were commenting how your area was jackpotting Sweet Yeah, it has turned out that way this year. Today I was standing on the road in front of my house, and the snow bank was a little taller than me. I mean I have to reach up to touch the top of it. That is all the plow snow of course, but I know I have never seen it like that. Other areas like driveway and walkways are about waist high. Cool as hell. capecod04
Called us a bunch of idiots today right after he said the Euro was an inside runner and would not move East then two seconds later it came out East. Now he posts maps that say see it did not move East. I mean whats the difference between Coastal NJ and the BM between a couple thousand friends LOL LOL!!! He said the 12Z Euro nudged east but not much and then reposted images of the 0z run to reinforce his point that everybody gets snow to rain. My nephew is a young weenie and he says the snow there in unreal. I am in Woonsocket, right at the MA state line, and also at the Cumberland line. (Diamond Hill area) Elevation 350ish. It really is unreal this year, but I don't want to jinx it by gloating. I am just happy when I can honestly say, "It might snow!" Anything after that is just gravy. Walpole Joe
Mom was Gradilone on Pleasant Street, cousins still in Westerly are Vangieiri, grew up on from Spruce Street Walpole Joe is for the great manager Joe Morgan - still see him at 9 am mass, although he doesn't drive the plow anymore. Would be a good trivia question, who is the only manager in the history of major league baseball to drive a plow during the blizzard of '78 - Walpole Joe. Enjoy reading your comments, GinX - you remind me of the guys I know from Westerly, Yankees unfortunately included - too bad Joe D was Italian! Damage In Tolland
Still have some of the Winter Classics variety in the fridge Old Fezziwig is my fave. Unfortunately they replaced the Cranberry Lambic with Chocolate Stout What do you think for Tues thru Thurs? 1-3 or so Tuesday with light snows regionwide. I think it's a track over the outer Cape..maybe just east and that it's a big one. It'll be a wetter snow ..not the fluff we had yesterday. has all the makings of a monster given the pattern...but obviously lots to determine the next 2 days

Semper911
Welcome Semper from another Rhode Islander in Cumberland near the Woonsocket line right off of Rt-122 !!! Hi, I have seen your posts and your obs are usually about the same as mine, so I don't post if I see you already have. I am just up the hill from the Lowes on Diamond Hill Rd, if you know where that is. There is another guy from Cumberland too, Snowman-something-or-other. But there are lots of Snowman-type nicks on this board, so I can't keep them all straight.
BDR
Taunton's AFD is a little more subdued Completely justified; although there is an innate expectation for snow in a wx forum, that doesn't mean it will pan out.
