I was in Lowes today i picked up a back up sump pump just in case we have an inland runner and get a ton of rain...Remember the big rain storm we had last March like 14" of rain ?? My Sump pump ran for 2 weeks straight !!!

Oh yes, I remember. It is the first time my basement ever flooded. And I don't have a sump pump. And I was recovering from cancer treatments so I wasn't in the best shape to do all the pumping, squeegie-ing, shop vac-ing, etc. But I got through it, and now I at least have a portable pump and a nifty new shop vac.

Semper911 is going to become a regular contributor to banter and storm disco and you can l-l-l-l-l-l-lock it up. Already dropping s bombs. "I have become what I beheld"

Let's see what the 00z suite has in store for our lil storm.

Well hey, we decided this was like an online bar room. And I just poured myself a drink. And I just got the results back from the scan saying my cancer is still gone. So what the hell... Life is good.

Big C, congrats on beating it man, congrats.

Why would anyone mention NCP, heat mizer needs two days in detention for even mentioning it , although I did build drainage tunnels with my snowblower yesterday LOL

Of course, SREFs at this range are as useful as tits on a bull but it is nice to look at. Big big storm incoming.

They're better now but still out of their most useful range. Point is....we might expect 0Z models to speed things up a bit.

My neighbors think I am crazy for shoveling out all four of my downspouts, and rattling the ice out of them when I can. I think they are crazy for not doing it. This year I put 3" PVC extenders to channel the water far away from the house.

And thanks -- beating it is like winning the lottery every three months at scan time. Life is good.

Get that QPF into the cold air sooner. -3/-7 here now. I've had a lot of snow and a lot of negative overnight lows. Perfect.

I categorically disagree. At best a hybrid.

Sorry, I don't see what your seeing.

Disturbance diving into the Gulf, even CLOSING OFF in the Gulf. DISTINCT surface low tracks from the LA Delta up the east coast. If this is a B or hybrid, where's the primary low?

Hybrid from that vort coming down in northern WI. That essentially drives the path hence the hybrid designation. That supplies the cold air feed as well.

That would be a good trend for us I would think. Gets it here more ahead of the northern stream kicker and with high pressure a little closer by with cold air over the region still fresh.

I am glad no one told me just how much the radiation and 5 months of chemo was going to suck. Most of us have only heard that it is bad, but I had no idea just how life-threateningly bad. But it worked, so it was worth it. Dana Farber is amazing.

Well, aren't I just the posty one tonight? Sorry to hijack -- back to the wx.
