superjames1992
Last year (19.25"). The next accumulating snowfall this year will probably put me over 10", as well. Before last year, I had multi-digit snowfalls every winter I lived in West Virginia (2004-2007), although we usually got events which added up to a dusting or an inch and since we got snow about 40 times per year, they added up to about 20" or so on average (although in every year we failed to make our seasonal snowfall average). We did get a couple 6" snowfalls during that time from lucking out being under trailing snow showers from clipper systems. Prior to 2004, my last double-digit winter was 2002 and before that 2000, I believe.

TheBlade
Same here, I believe it was 2003-2004 when we got around 12 inches. I think that is the same storm that Ballantyne got 16" or so.

Ahhh....yes the one that dumped 12+ inches just south of Charlotte (I believe even over 20 inches in a few locations???) while people in western upstate SC got a dusting if they were lucky. I got 3-4 inches from that system here in Greenville.
TheBlade
Yea that was it. It is sad though that even though I got 12", I was mad I was not the one able to say we had 16". On a side note, best snowboarding ever up in the mountains at Sugar lately with this winter! Rarely do you get to snowboard in real snow around here. LKN WX
14" last year-definately was lucky compared to just 20 miles down the road. The '09 Dec storm was a good example-had to work off S Tryon where a 33 and rain was going on. As I am heading home on Hwy 16, the rain turned to sleet then snow in Lincoln Co-my house had between 5-6" of SN/IP from that one. It seemed like this was the case all last winter. weathertree4u
The last doub-digit Season was 2002-2003 for the Nashville area; with this last snow we have edged over 10" for the season; the last time we got at least 7" was January 16 2003; have to go back to the turn of the century before get an official measurement of more than 8" in a single storm; have to go back to 1995-1996 to get a season where we had more than 20"

ncjoaquin
Last year was 40, 29.5 this year. I have had several double digit snowfall years, but Dec. '09 broke a string of almost 12 years without having a single snowfall over 6 inches. Since then, I have had several. So, anybody without a double digit snowfall year can hopefully look to break out in a big way like I have.

Edit... i thought the title said in a single storm. 2009 Hillsborough had 11" or so of snow and sleet total.
