Yeah possibly..but they are massive here...they are like quarters....or at least nickels. Not sure about the Shrewsburey posters to my east at lower elevations. They usually match my obs except in some events...they are like 5-8 miles E of me.

You're obs sound like mine during the NYE 2008 storm

All I'm saying is I talked to someone right behind the Middleboro SP barracks an hour ago and they had a mix. I haven't spoken to them since and it's looking like it collapsed SE on radar. I don't know how long it went on, how much it hurt totals etc,

The bridgewater webcams never waivered, been mod heavy snow the entire time http://www.bridgew.e.../clocktower.cfm

Kingston has waivered at times http://www.instacam....id=KNGST&size=S

city highway webcam site http://www1.eot.state.ma.us/

I think the mix line shows up pretty well on KTAN radar SE of 495/24 right now, maybe at Exit 4 ish. It doesn't look like it's making any more progress, and it's stopped around exit 7/8 on Rte 3 as well it would appear.

The yellow banding is on top of my house Scott and it's all snow. Dryslot now affecting EWB

edit

Here, I've indicated my location. It's the red dot right on the N in "Providence".

That seems high to me...Union had 3.7" as of an hour ago...but we'll see what he says when its all done...he is very good. He was complaining to me about the dryslot earlier, lol.

He has always come in under the Stafford Springs total when they go obscene.

I think you meant Staffordville....The Staffordville guy measures with a rubber ruler. I'm the guy in Stafford Springs. Union definitely gets more than Stafford Springs. I saw your update that they had 5.2 around 0800...I had 5.0 at that time.

A touch over 4.5" here in West Hartford. Snow winding down.

Most places will come in on the low end of my conservative 4"-8" forecast.

3"-6" probably would have been a better forecast.

Warning criteria won't be met virtually anywhere in CT AWT.

AWT!!!!!

I measured just a touch over 4'' at 8:00 AM...was going to measure again at 9:00 but 4.5'' sounds good.

I went 4-8 for BDL. Hope they had 4". That may be my worst spot.

Back on 2/7/2003 we had an early morning forecast of 2-4" that turned into 20" of fluff. I took a group of customers up to Mt Wachusett that day... it was memorable both for the skiing and th eride home afterwards.

What happened that day that is so different from this event?
