Sent it along as soon as you posted it.

Tell them on HAM radio that its a met...and say "North Worcester"...that will let them know its me. And also be different than a regular "Worcester" obs...North Worcester is higher elevation...while it doesnt matter that much in this...it still does in small amounts, and it lets them know its like 3-4 miles north of the airport.

Thanks.

Snow growth is very banding-dependent with this one. Doesn't matter if temps aloft are perfect if there's meager lift, which is basically what we're seeing for most, except those that are in the heavier bands toward eastern MA where there's locally strong omega.

Yea, snowgroth stinks, here.

I think you are getting some orographic enhancement...my flakes have been consistently small to medium sized with only a few short periods of bigger flakes .

Yeah possibly..but they are massive here...they are like quarters....or at least nickels. Not sure about the Shrewsburey posters to my east at lower elevations. They usually match my obs except in some events...they are like 5-8 miles E of me.

agreed...I'm 5-7 miles NW of there and I haven't anything but steady small flakes. Looks like about 3-3.5". agree on the CF enhancement. The last 30 minutes of so has been the heaviest since daylight.

I hope it can keep snow at least until school would have started. I think the kids will be sleding under bluebird skies by 11.....JMHO

Nice little storm though to cover up all the gross brown snow on the sides of the roads.

All I'm saying is I talked to someone right behind the Middleboro SP barracks an hour ago and they had a mix. I haven't spoken to them since and it's looking like it collapsed SE on radar. I don't know how long it went on, how much it hurt totals etc,

The bridgewater webcams never waivered, been mod heavy snow the entire time http://www.bridgew.edu/bearcams/clocktower.cfm

Kingston has waivered at times http://www.instacam.com/showcam.asp?id=KNGST&size=S

city highway webcam site http://www1.eot.state.ma.us/

I think the mix line shows up pretty well on KTAN radar SE of 495/24 right now, maybe at Exit 4 ish. It doesn't look like it's making any more progress, and it's stopped around exit 7/8 on Rte 3 as well it would appear.

you've probably also been under the deeper lift further west...you can see that was a nice deep band on the Upton radar.

I'm getting some nickel-sized ones mixing in here.

You sure it's not 23".....better remeasure, Donny....

Hey don't hate on Donny Baseball.

Yeah he may have a bit of weenie ruler for Jan 12...but he is money in that spot at 300 ft W of BOS.

Big flakes here continue...this is a great finale. Gotta be pushing 6" or at least over 5" now...we waited until the 11th hour on this one. You still have some fun I think there.

Shrewsbury :P

Its been changing back and forth here. There was a period of massive snow falkes the size of quarters then a period of smaller flakes. Right now its somewhere in between with some larger flakes mixing in.

Yeah. In this case "most" models correctly pinned the best dynamics in the eastern 1/2 of SNE.

Writing was on the wall last night......a nice refresher, anyway.

Are you practicing reverse psycho here? You're about to get hit very hard.

I've heard you get handsy after a few drinks.

:drunk:
