ORH_wxman
I haven't measured again since the 5 inches we had last time..I'll wait till it's over..Kids are up and I'm getting them breakfast. I'm guessing I'll end up with 7 maybe 8 That seems high to me...Union had 3.7" as of an hour ago...but we'll see what he says when its all done...he is very good. He was complaining to me about the dryslot earlier, lol. He has always come in under the Stafford Springs total when they go obscene.

Clinch Leatherwood
How come you just edited your post about the ruler and beers? Is it because it would mean you'd actually have to COME to a GTG? Legal reasons, if I bought you a bunch of beers and something bad happens....that's why I edited it. Offer stands though, and yes I will be at the next GTG hopefully, with a new ruler and digital camera for you.
weathafella
BOS had 1.9 through 7AM and it's been going to town since. I'm thinking Logan ends up with 6-9.
HIPPYVALLEY
Hugest dry dendrites you ever saw here. Ridiculous. Yup, great snow growth here over the last hour. Too bad it couldn't have been this the whole time. 3.6" not sure I break 4. Forecasts were actually right on the money for NW Ma. Pretty morning. Baroclinic Zone
Around the middleboro barracks it did contaminate at least for a brief period. What's that exit 5? Are you hearing that on police scanners or something. I am like 5 miles due W from there.
Tolland Death Band
How much? Union had 3.7" about 15 min ago? We smoked them. I have 6" and will post pics. Nice to be the jackpot for once!
CoastalWx
BOS had 1.9 through 7AM and it's been going to town since. I'm thinking Logan ends up with 6-9. Over 4" now for me.
ORH_wxman
WIZ you can update that ORH total from 3.3" to 4.8" at about 8am for HAM radio. Its going nuts here...we are probably well over 5" here.
weatherMA
We had about 2"/hour before and its even heavier right now. Too bad the back edge is flying, but even so I will get over 6" possibly 7-8".
Baroclinic Zone
agreed...I'm 5-7 miles NW of there and I haven't anything but steady small flakes. Looks like about 3-3.5". agree on the CF enhancement. The last 30 minutes of so has been the heaviest since daylight. I hope it can keep snow at least until school would have started. I think the kids will be sleding under bluebird skies by 11.....JMHO Nice little storm though to cover up all the gross brown snow on the sides of the roads. I think the heavier echoes will abate in a couple hours but we should see off an on light snows till mid afternoon. Back edge of the precip is hitting I-91 in CT now. HIPPYVALLEY
Over 4" now for me. Boston metro looks to be a jackpot zone for this one. Congrats!
40/70 Benchmark
Jesus, looks to over in an hour or two and the heaviest is south....I'll probably end up with 5".....glad I didn't stay up. lol
weatherwiz
Well say if BDL gets 5'' out of this that would put them at about 56'' for the season...IF things go excellent with the mid-week storm there is a chance they could get into the top 10 as far as seasonal totals go. Damage In Tolland
That seems high to me...Union had 3.7" as of an hour ago...but we'll see what he says when its all done...he is very good. He was complaining to me about the dryslot earlier, lol. He has always come in under the Stafford Springs total when they go obscene. Yup no way i make 8 with the snow getting ready to stop in the next hour.. I'm just glad I have another Tolland poster to verify my totals..and Ryan's station also has 2 wx watchers from Tolland to back me up to and one is at 1,000 feet. OSUmetstud
Nick in Blackstone is getting fooking crushed right now. yep..I'm going to take a measurement soon. The heaviest stuff is probably just west of me though. It looks like a rough 4" just looking outside.
cheetah440
Just about to leave....HEAVY snow...good dendrites....if we can hold on for a few hours we might come up close to 8 or so... I think up here we get around 6, really nice snowfall, almost no wind. Really deep pack right now. OT - Jerry, snowed everywhere I flew on this trip, Chicago then Omaha. Flight delays everywhere. Omaha had 3" yesterday and it was mass chaos on the roads. My rental care with baloney skin tires didn't help much.
OKpowdah
Snow growth is very banding-dependent with this one. Doesn't matter if temps aloft are perfect if there's meager lift, which is basically what we're seeing for most, except those that are in the heavier bands toward eastern MA where there's locally strong omega. leesun
I am 2 miles west of 91 and it is still ripping here. Visibilities have come up slightly I think the heavier echoes will abate in a couple hours but we should see off an on light snows till mid afternoon. Back edge of the precip is hitting I-91 in CT now.
