Arnold214
I have no idea...they dug the car out after the Jan 12 blizzard..but now its getting consumed by the 6 foot snowbanks behind it. Its funny..nobody has seen them for a week. We are all wondering. you might want to knock on their door and hope they aren't home. lol.

OKpowdah
oh wow, you guys aren't going to believe this. There are actually multi-crystalline structures falling from the sky now!! Who knew that those individual crystal molecules could actually adhere together to form larger entities?! Boy, this really throws a curveball at the forecast

Damage In Tolland
Does he use your ruler? You've had a tough couple of winters forecasting. Hope you can get things back on track for the 2nd half
Mr. Windcredible!
No again there Mr Windcredible I just said in my post above...never ripped in the first place here. When I peaked out the window at 5:45am I couldn't even tell if it was snowing at the moment. Intensity has picked up slightly here in the past few minutes...maybe down to 1/2 mi visibility. I really thought getting 4" wouldn't be an issue here...had my doubts about 6". Right now we're struggling to get to 3" with things winding down to. snowman21
Snow has just about stopped now in Greenwich CT. About 5 inches on the ground. Nice big fluffy flakes. Too bad we didn't have those for some of the other storms.

ORH_wxman
I dont have the "CT_blizz" fetish...but this requires "heavy heavy snow"....its absolutely ripping here. Heavy snow. Less than 1/4 mile. I have a very good vantage point and its completely whited out.

Anyone have a loop beginning before that? I'm curious how things looked around here between midnight-4am...really must've been in a snow hole. Baroclinic Zone
There might be a little CF enhancement as flow in the lower levels starts to turn more east, while winds are more nrly at the surface. My temp is slowly creeping up to 27F. 28F here. SPECI KTAN 211238Z AUTO 02003KT 1/2SM SN FZFG BKN007 OVC012 M02/M03 A2943 RMK AO2 P0006 This is great stuff falling right now. Check out the Central Pa streaks, this fluff gonna be flying all over. By tomorrow boys will be yelling for Momma, men will be entrenched holding babies away from the bitter Arctic cold, winds and blowing snow, heading out to save the herd of cattle, geeks will be behind the computer looking at the next blizzard for Wed.
