Made it up to 66 here today.

Mt. Holly has a chance of rain and snow in this area for Friday.

yeah I was just noticing the 18Z GFS has a period of 2m temps at 34° and 850mb temps at 1C while precipitating. i mean the dynamic part of the system is way up over the Lakes so I doubt we would actually see anything wintry, but I'm surprised the weenies aren't out crying snow yet....

Frozen precip was removed from our forecast for Turkey Day.

I don't think it'll be dominant p type but I think some of the usual suspect colder locations up your way might mix...not saying will but overrunning tends to come in faster than how the NAM depicts it this far out. At minimum, Turkey Day's going to be chilly up your way....30's until night, with some temp rise after sunset.

57.5 here in NW Chester County yesterday for the high.

I can see precip beginning as some sleet on Thanksgiving and in fact it's mentioned in our forecast now.

Thanksgiving Day: A chance of rain and sleet before 9am, then rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 44. Calm wind becoming southeast between 4 and 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

For Saylorsburg, PA (southern monroe county):

Thanksgiving Day: A chance of snow, freezing rain, and sleet before noon, then a chance of snow and freezing rain between noon and 1pm, then rain likely after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 38. Calm wind becoming south between 4 and 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

That would be nice.

WWA's for the Poconos and Northeast PA for the wintry slop.

Just brought in extra firewood and pellets for the stove. My wife did all her prep work today leaving a house full of people completely ready for tomorrow's feast.

The winds earlier today have let up some though a cold gust or two clears the leaves off the drive. The deer and wild turkey's are looking for food like mad, not to mention the recently evicted squirrel family who managed to create a hole into the dormer soffit any fine craftsman wood be proud to have drilled with his best bit.

Looking forward to another Pocono Thanksgiving with a bit of wintry accents. Maybe the kids will get lucky and we see a few inches of snow and the riding mats can be broken out.

Current temp is 35.6. Let the cold air dam!
