where is your weather station thing taken from, that says 25?

That's not mine. I'm not online. It's another guy in town, and if you look at his numbers, a lot are off. For instance his pressure is currently 29.38 and his humidity is a very dry 24%.

Both are obviously wrong, and many times his temps are off the charts. His high temperature for the year was 110.

how did you get that undground thing in your signature? Im trying to incorporate mine into my signature but it keeps posting just the link that im copying into the image code

Just right click the sticker on your Wunderground page that you want to use and paste it as a web image in your signature page. What you are doing is basically hot linking to it.

we better enjoy these couple of threats, hm is already banging the drum for mid month warm up.

I agree, once we warm up, we could really warm up/torch. I wouldn't count out a few high temperatures in the 60s or even topping 70 degrees for the end of December and the months of January and February. Our only hope is that the NAO refuses to go positive, and that could spare us from an epic torch.

But right now, let's enjoy what we could get.

yea it wont allow me, keeps saying error has occured.

I don't want to sound insulting, but are you pasting the link using the "insert image" button at the top of the edit signature dialogue box in the change signature area of your user cp? I'll check back tomorrow morning, but I have to go to bed now. I get up at 4:00AM for work.

Your not insulting at all, its confusing atleast for me. no, what i did was, i went to the pws buttons anc right clicked it and copied the image, then went to the signature and pasted the item. It shows up in the signature, but when i hit save changes it goes to an error.

That's true, it doesn't help for storms; but where it does help is in borderline situations. If I have a full night in the 20's it will allow for the ground to get nice and cold and mitigate any accumulating issues the area might have when the temps do rise before a storm. But if I am sitting in the mid and upper 30's all night, the ground may not have even reached that air temperature yet when the precip arrives, cutting into your potential totals.

I am at 39.7 degrees and I am 3 mies east of LGA, which is at 47. That's insane.

Thats true, it can help for snowfall accumulations... several years ago however, it helped contribute to a localized/unforecasted icestorm (Tony/Rainshadow remembers this one lol).

As of 1:20AM its down to 21.4, which is the lowest of the season. MJX was 19, MIV 23, and ACY 28 at 1AM.

Oh, I don't know then. I'm off to work for now. I'll check back later this afternoon. Coldest morning of the season so far. We're sitting at 23.5 currently.

Interesting to see the disparity in lows on ideal rad cooling nights. Classic case where suburbs are 10-15F cooler than NYC. Also, the UHI is clearly much stronger at NYC than PHL (no surprise, it's got 8 million people vs 2 million in PHL). ACY, SMQ, and MJX all tend to be the coldest on rad cooling nights.

That LGA low is absurd. What did they drop 6 degrees from the high yesterday? I wouldn't be surprised if their first 32F comes w/ their first accumulating snowfall! Do you know if that's happened before?

With all due respect to JB and I certainly see where he's going with this, but isn't every year supposed to be a 'December to Remember'? I also don't think we should just be throwing in the towel regarding January and February.

24.5 this am... it might have been colder though :)

Very frosty looking out the window this am :snowman:.

I hope we get some white this month since we know what coming early 2011.

JB mentioned December to remember?
