WeatherGuide
The consistency of this stuff reminds me of the Christmas storm (2003 I believe)? 10" of the heavy stuff caused power issues that lasted for days around Berks.. LVblizzard
RUC looks good yet again, RR looks even better. I'll be surprised if we don't see 4"+ tonight for a storm total of more than 6.5".

Big Jims Videos
HEH! Close to two inches now its absolutely pouring snow right now in Pittston--heaviest of the year, heavy, heavy snow in that band along I-81 Too bad we can't be in this for a few hours. HUGE flakes. Wow, Tom Clark in the backyard is also getting dumped on. It suckes because I feel like I was handed a can of Turtle Wax as a consolation prize meanwhile folks down to the south once again picked Door Number 3 and got the Big Deal. Yeah, I saw Tom's hat turning white earlier. haha Also, yeah, I'm glad I'm getting the few inches I am here, but it has been a real pain to see the heavy snows (and thundersnow!) fall not too far to the southeast. jdt
Back after an hour away for dinner. Like the trends both with the RUC and the radar. RDG to ABE and eventually 12N looking nice. Somewhere N&W of that line will see the cutoff. But that line down to about I95 look good. Still precip issues SE towards the I95 corridor but those should resolve themselves over then next hour or two. Some wasted qpf on sleet for them but all snow NW. If I could just get 1 flash and rumble I would be good. man.. so close well hey, at least we Wyoming Valley folk are stuck in this band for the next hour--should break three inches here. That was not expected a few hours ago. Places 10 miles to my NW are getting nothing. But no one lives out there anyway.
Voyager
OMG reports of THUNDERSNOW in Easton and Quakertown.... If I could just get 1 flash and rumble I would be good. man.. so close Must be why it's hardly snowing here at the moment. I mean it's just about stopped. Lots of convection to my south and southwest, and someone said earlier that there is down side to that and somewhere gets shafted. well hey, at least we Wyoming Valley folk are stuck in this band for the next hour--should break three inches here. That was not expected a few hours ago. Places 10 miles to my NW are getting nothing. But no one lives out there anyway. Looks like you got under a good band, Jim. I'm still stuck on just about 1 inch for the storm, and that includes this morning's half inch.
