BiggiFlake
According to wunderground, that stuff I see outside is a Light Snow Mist! Sounds like a soft drink! It's 34.7 here in Severn. Whoopee! Good for you folks up north! Enjoy!

Jebman
earlier it was a snow mist. now this IS light snow. I might have a decent chance at a coating if this keeps up
mdsnowlover
really? I have about 2" here, all in the last 2 hours or so its just been pouring snow. look at national radar, cold front just about to go thru, back end almost to baltimore. Its just about to end, maybe another hour. Euro did not look good either. Big rainstorm. Enjoyed this one tonight as I,m not sure we get another one this week. Local tv station allready forecasting snow for tues, wed. Bet that's going to change. Oh well. this is not our year.
Fozz
We never got anything beyond flurries. I think the mountains screwed you. When moisture is limited, it sucks to be in a valley.
Solo2
I can't complain we have over-achieved in Frederick to some extent compared to others, but this was a downer. The snow literally formed 5 miles east of us and never built back to the area.
Fozz
The snow is about to end in 15-20 minutes. For such a short duration, this was a nice little event.
Dalfy
Roads are completely wet.. temps are just under freezing and dropping. It looks like tomorrow will be dicey as black ice forms. I think Ive got like maybe half an inch accumulation on grass and sidewalk. Still snowing here but looks to shut off within the next hour.

mdsnowlover
ummm...Euro was not JUST a big rainstorm your correct snow to rain then back to snow, maybe all snow west of balto. We'll see. Not counting on anything.
Jebman
Light snow has shut off. I'm grateful for the brief snow I got to watch - no accumulations. Some folks tonight never even got to see the snow. They got drizzle, or light rain, or never even got anything at all. THOSE ARE THE PEOPLE that I hope get shellacked real good come Monday with the next storm with tons of heavy snow. Winds are west. Temps are falling. Better bundle up good - Gonna feel like central Siberia later on today.

birdsofprey02
A few inches of very wet snow in bel air. I didn't measure but just looked out the window and the grass is completely covered (so probably at least 2"). Road looks slushy.
showmethesnow
Just eyeballing it here in Hanover but roughly 1/2 inch here in Hanover, PA? Still a few flurries popping thru but nothing to get excited about. Guess it's on to the PSUHoffman storm.
das
Um. 0.2" here in Clarksburg. Little surprised when I peeked out the window this morning.
WinterWxLuvr
It makes me facepalm every time when I try to read through an obs thread. No one knows how to wait for it anymore... always assumes the worst and then BAM snow starts falling like it was supposed to... been happening all year, and it's getting sad now. It's been flurrying to -SN here since I got up 1/2 hour ago. No accumulation yet. Really? A 90% chance of snow and not one flake? That's what went on in the Shenandoah Valley. I just makes the confidence level go down one more notch. But I guess it's about learning. I've lived here now for 3 winters and I am learning that unless the storm has some component to it that is south of me, there's about a 10% chance of snow. If it's coming from the west, there's literally almost no chance of snow here.
lsukev
Well, I thought if I went into this event hoping for whitening of the ground, i couldn't possibly be dissappointed..... just looked out the window and nothing. I just don't get it... LWX's experimental snowfall forecast map gave me nearly two inches just yesterday morning. Edited to add: But hey, at least the snow starved weenies in New York got another 4-6.
Ellinwood
Really? A 90% chance of snow and not one flake? That's what went on in the Shenandoah Valley. If it's coming from the west, there's literally almost no chance of snow here. Some areas got screwed with this one... point is there's too many jumpers pre-event. The band developed just after midnight (about on time), and unfortunately it was a little too warm to the south/east. This is at least the third time this season that I've seen cries of despair before the actual snowfall is SUPPOSED to occur. A little patience (i.e. wait for it to develop and move through) before jumping) would be appreciated. Also, why the lowering in confidence? Confidence should be judged by the uncertainties of each individual system. There was a reasonable chance of a screwjob in VA, and it happened. On to the next one. birdsofprey02
I wasn't awake to see any flakes fall (went to bed at 11:30) but it must have came down pretty hard. Seems like the wet/sticky snow stuck pretty well to the car, grass, and even the roadway. See my crappy pics (I was tired this morning). The last pic is of my rear window, you can see that its probably an 1.5" to 2.0".
WxUSAF
About .6" of snow here. Maybe the Euro has its mojo back...it was right about this storm from the beginning. DCA and IAD only recorded 0.01" of QPF and BWI had 0.06".
ThreeRedheads
I don't think anything came down here, west of the city. Pavement isn't even wet.
