You meant not right? Cause that's what I read haha

Yeah I went back and fixed it.

16z SFC... secondary low trying to form over the mountains (some of which is likely due to the orographic effects).

BTW...it would be really nice if temps would start dropping quickly now. Although that's probably hard with this kind of cloud cover.

Even if the temps drop below freezing prior to the precip which is doubtful with cloud cover, the ground temps are going to stay above freezing for awhile which will probably prevent the early snow from sticking. Temps in the 40s prior to light snow is a bad combo.

I don't know how accurate this mesoscale site is, but it shows 850 temp over BWI around -8C and 925 temp around -4C if you go to the drop menu under Basic UA

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM EST

additional 1 to 3 inches Friday.

* Timing: late this afternoon through Friday.

* Impacts: roads will likely become snow covered.

* Visibilities: reduced to less than one mile at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow

will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow

covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while

that's not the zone forecast.. it's the point one, not sure why it shows 1-2 though.

Tonight

Cloudy...snow...mainly after midnight. Snow accumulation around an inch. Lows in the upper 20s. Southeast winds around 5 mph...becoming southwest 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Chance of snow 90 percent.
