At the very least, I think there is more confidence in a nice little 8-10 hour fluff storm that could produce up to low end warning lollis amongst solid advisory snows. We still have 24-30 hours to get that vortmax just a bit more south, though I'd probably take the Euro right now and run if offered. The Euro actually is quite similar to the GFS ensembles for our area...much more impressive up in E ME though.

Yeah a quick hitter, but it could snow at a good clip for a few hours. This looks like a widespread event too, with perhaps not much of a difference across the region. Maybe eastern areas have a bit more.

Question is now...Do WATCHES go up or do they wait and just throw up advisories.

I'd think the latter.

I'd think if by 12z tomorrow...there is not enough evidence of something greater that 3-6", they'll just throw advisories. However, if there is a decent shot at verifying 4-8" widespread, watches will be hoisted, at least for the eastern half of SNE. Coastal ME likely to have watches based on the EURO.

As expected the NW trend kicks in at the eleventh hour and advisories are hoisted. General 3-6" forecast here from BOX at this time and, based on current trends I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a few more tacked on. Hey Messenger!!! what happened to all guidance pointing to a SE trend? Pattern recognition. Funny how jaded everyone is getting poo-pooing advisory level events.lol Good week so far here on the East slope, 6.75" Tuesday, 2.5" Wednesday, another 6" possible tonight then into the ice box with double digit negatives. Big Winter incoming, Big Big Winter.
