i think it actually will. right after 18z guidance. upgrade advisory to warning barring cutbacks on qpf. what's the big deal anyway. were lookin at 5-6 solid it appears. so go warning with potential for a decent amount more.

OT a teacher i spoke with was saying there are finals at her school tommorrow so she doesn't think they will cancel as easily....i wonder how much a part that plays?

That definitely is a big deal, my finals were already pushed back after last week's storm so they are trying not to cancel...Although with the recent model trends I bet they will.

Yeah, it doesn't really matter.

About school, I have my last 2 midterms tommorow. We already had school postponed on Tuesday on a midterm day. They'll do everything they can to have school but with 5-10" of powder falling early morning hours continuing on through the commute, I doubt it. But I think people have had enough talk about school cancellations. :yikes:

Just told my co-workers 6-10 for PWM.

Haven't been able to follow the models very closely today, but it sounds like quite a shift. If that's true, then we're going to go straight from no headlines and "nuisance event" expectations to solid warnings -- with the onset very close. I know there have been some rumors among the "general public," but I think that most will be very surprised.

I truly hope those who make the decisions are not dumb enough to hold classes because of finals. At the very least they need to delay 2 hours then reevaluate where they sit at that point.

I drove from Worcester to Framingham on Tuesday morning, it took me FOUR HOURS...and this was without school traffic on the roads; it was a nightmare. Add school traffic to that mix and you have major trouble. With storms like this it's more about timing than snow amounts. Tuesday was the worst commute of my life, yet we only ended up with about 6" total.

The funny thing is that no WSWs are up and people could see 12"..

There isn't even an advisory here and the snow will start in 12 hours??

What is BOX doing?

To be fair, I don't think a warning event looked likely until about 3-4 hours ago.

Dear BOX,

What in the sam hell are you doing?

With love,

SnowNH

Dear BOX,

I have just wasted almost two posts regarding the fact you have not updated your snow totals despite the imminent destructive apocalyptic snowstorm heading into our CWA. I am extremely disappointed that you have not seen or forecasted the threat correctly such as I have using my superior meteorological prowess.

Sincerly with loves and weenie tenderness,

SnowNH
