5-8 mby seems like a safe call now, with heavy heavy emphasis on the 8 part. Excellent set of runs since 00z.

Yes, I would opt for the 8", Verbatium on the euro we are probably more around the .60" range we are not far from the .75", But i can't see that fine.........lol

I'll prob go to sleep around 8:00 and up around 2:00 again

that's actually a great idea for me tonite. this am at work i was thinking .....man i'm not gonna be able to watch the snow falling...(will be working 6-12 am).....this will be "no good" for me. so perhaps going to bed when i'm off work this evening.....and waking up at 2 will be the plan. so long as there are a few weenies on here at 3am.

Were you on here when the Jan 12 storm started? I think we had over 100 people online at like 3am when it was really starting to rip, lol.

This obviously isn't a storm of the same magnitude, but I'm sure there will be plenty of people on following it.

I can't fathom waking up early like that to track a 5-8'' event . This seems like the pretty standard, 5-8'' commute crusher that we are all so accustomed to.

Will, could you see the models keep trending stronger up until the event? Or should we not even look At them and now cast? What do you think of the 12" in St. Louis?

yes .....i didn't go to sleep that nite lol.

i understand were pretty locked for 3-6 min now......but so long as 18z, 0z nam and 18z gfs don't cut qpf by 20% Or more...i think i'll stay up.

BTW will do you see St. louis getting 10 as a red flag.....not asking you to say nam is right....but do you see signs (down stream) where qpf might go more robust than euro modeled...i.e be more in the neighbor hood of .6 to. 75 for a chunk of say E MA?

3-6" call from 6 hours ago has been :weenie: ed up to 6-10". I like where Im at for this storm.

I want to be up for some of the heaviest stuff but I cant get up at 2am again lol so maybe I'll get up at 5 or something depending on the timing (assuming no school here).

Anyone think a WSW will go up later? Advisory right now says 4-6" with a 5-8" band. Seems a little low with ratios. I think even the Euro would give me 7-8".

i think it actually will. right after 18z guidance. upgrade advisory to warning barring cutbacks on qpf. what's the big deal anyway. were lookin at 5-6 solid it appears. so go warning with potential for a decent amount more.

OT a teacher i spoke with was saying there are finals at her school tommorrow so she doesn't think they will cancel as easily....i wonder how much a part that plays?
