LVblizzard
Did any models have a low as strong as 1006 mb right now? I'm pretty sure most were between 1008-1010.

Snowmizer
I assume that explains why the models have been putting those areas in less precip all along. Actually, it's a pretty recent development...look at this afternoon's 18Z total storm precip over Srn NJ compared to 00Z,- just 6 hours later... Big difference...especially over me. I was preparing for a 4-5" storm...now looks like maybe an inch or 2.

Parsley
RGEM has been rock solid for the past 24 hours. It hasn't budged much. Yup, it has been very steady the past 2 days.....0.20-0.40" for eastern PA with a few spots in NE PA approaching 0.50"
Birds~69
Sounds like Hurricane is thinking of lowering his snow totals for the 11:00 broadcast. He should....things seem to be moving more North of Philly.
Thunder Road
He should....things seem to be moving more North of Philly. Actually LVBlizzard is right. Look at the HRRR from 4 hours ago (21z run), valid for 11pm tonight:
Animal
He should....things seem to be moving more North of Philly. nothing new. Heaviest snow for this event has been from just north of PHL for a few model runs. Even Mt holly has mentioned this numerous times

Thunder Road
However, the recent runs that have raised total snowfall numbers are also overdoing the radar returns for 04z. The 01z run had a large arc of 30+dBZ snowfall, which is obviously not happening.

Voyager
What is that dry slot near Hagerstown doing and more importantly, where is it heading?
Parsley
Looks to me like the consensus would be... 2 inches or less.....south of the PA Turnpike and I-195 in Jersey 2-4 inches north of the PA Turnpike to I-78 in PA and north of I-195 to about Rt 80 in NJ. 4-6 inches north of I-78 in PA and north of I-80 in NJ (with probably more spots seeing the lower end of that range). Parsley
At this point I'm worried that TTN will be lucky to get 3"... Yeah, I see places like PTW to TTN in the 2" to 2.5" at most. I never expected to get much more here than I did with those 2 back to back events earlier this month.
JTA66
FWIW, the last few radar frames have precip breaking out over the Delmarva.
IsentropicLift
26 degrees here with light snow falling here for the past half hour. One and a half hours before the scheduled start time of 12am. Began sticking immediatly and already have a dusting on all the surfaces. My location is right on the border of the Mt. Holly and Upton CWA's, although my zip belongs to Mt. Holly. Birds~69
LOL...Glenn certainly not impressed at 11pm...basically a couple hours of snow....didn't give updated totals yet but probably reduced to 1-2/1-
Thunder Road
LOL...Glenn certainly not impressed at 11pm... I think he actually referenced the HRRR. I can tell watching him that he wants to use the technical terms, then corrects himself since he's broadcasting to such a wide audience. The rest are "look at the blue, it's so pretty." famartin
Right now I have this feeling (which I'm not translating into a forecast update but I'm just putting it out there) that the places seeing snow already will be fine, the places that aren't but are near places getting snow are gonna underperform... i.e., PHL up to NYC... Animal
I'm in Morris County and already have a coating down...and I'm 20 minutes outside NYC I saw Earthight posted the latest RUC maps in the NYC weenie thread. Looks decent for most of NJ going into extreme eastern PA. Smally delay but not denied. Not really too concerned if it is 2 inches of 5 inches. I expect around 4 inches in Edison when all said and done..maybe around 3.5 inches
