He said that since mid-December 2009, the city had had five storms of nine inches or more. That is the most major storms ever in a span of roughly a year, he said. He also said the city had had a total of 82.3 inches of snow from the first big storm of last winter, in December 2009, through the storm of Jan. 11 and 12 of this year — 1 year, 24 days.
