WinterWxLuvr
UKMET is garbage. It had a monster low off the coast 12 hours ago. Has the morning run come out? At this point is any model showing any consistency?
SomeguyfromTakomaPark
Really hoping the GFS/GFS ENS are on to something. Maybe we can get the EURO to move towards the GFS camp. Holding out hope.

psuhoffman
GGEM trended the wrong way thats for sure, it was already the furthest west and went more west
winterymix
This morning's operational GFS run is pathetic for meaningful MA snow. Am holding out hope for a Valentine's Day Snowstorm based on Don S's crashing (-) AO forecast.
WinterWxLuvr
Euro Exactly what I was thinking, but didn't want to say it because I don't really have much to go on. The maps I can see are tough, so the pbp is all I have to go on. That's why I asked about the UK, wondering if it was showing any consistency. Maybe the NAM? Amped
Less of the high hanging back west on every run This will not end well or nuetral.
usedtobe
The low over nc on the ukmet is too far west if you want the cold air to hold over I95 dc area. It's probalby Ok for I81.
winter_warlock
UKMET looks ok. the ukmet does look better than the ggem, but id still like maybe a little more to east with the Low, maybe 50-75 miles
WinterWxLuvr
UKMET looks ok. That 96 hour map. 12 hours later than the NAM image, but wouldn't that be about where the NAM surface low would be.
winter_warlock
well gfs is east, ensembles look good, euro ensembles look like they trending towards gfs ensembles, and ukmet doesnt look bad, in your expert opinions, doi you think maybe the GGEM maybe an outlier at this point? And even if adding a good comment, there's no need to repost the image. Also, no need to post images available all over the place, including Allan's site. thesnowsknows
Less of the high hanging back west on every run This will not end well or nuetral. Agreed. Facts as currently standing: chances for moderate to heave snow along I 95 definitely slim. Those downplaying the lack of blocking are kidding themselves. I was censured for nothing this in an earlier thread, but we will see what happens. I'm rooting to be wrong.

I agree its too far west initially, but as the low bombs out east DC would probably get a nice snow on the back end. I would be happy with the UK track up here. You are being unreasonable. This has always been the way that model threads have worked. When there is something interesting to share, such as QPF totals, or the track of a surface or H5 low, I would encourage people to post any relevant panels, or at the very least, the link to those images.
