redskinsnut
Details at this point. Need the southern energy not to hang back. Need to win the dance of northern and southern energies for a change this winter. At least there is still something here to keep an eye on. Not saying the outcome will be different then our parade of misses so far, but, like Red from Shawshank, I need to hold some hope...
North Balti Zen
Fantastic. Hoffman is famous. All hail americanwx. Euro run to see if it holds onto the storm in some form. I call Euro leading the way on this particular event as it is tired of getting bullied of late by the GFS.

Great movie with a lot of great quotes in it!! I'm waiting for someone to cue the record player to play that part from "The Marriage of Figaro", as in the film. On second thought, perhaps "The Tales of Hoffman" might be more appropriate!!

WxUSAF
Beautiful ridge in the west on the long-range GFS. Definitely looks to stay cold, whatever snow Hoffman's storm drops, it will stick around. Unfortunately, no sign of the -NAO rebuilding though. TowsonWeather
psuhoffman will have a photoshopped 500 map soon circling areas the gfs is making up/wrong with so that the storm can still happen the qpf 162-168 is fairly unbelievable given the low location etc. oh well. /cough

WxUSAF
No word on the GGEM, so it must suck 144hrs. Hanging things back more than the GFS, definitely not going to do the GFS' half/northern half/southern hot mess. Looks like much more of a southern stream dominated system. Porsche
The 162hr gfs 500 vort has a nice look to it. I don't know who's storm it is but it's definitely worth monitoring. That's my optimism post. The pessimism is the upcoming event. I'll be thrilled to get 1" . It looks like the last snowstorm that gave me .60 but with a worse 500h vort. There is some positive for you guys!
