stormtracker
I'll take my chances here and say this is positive. Temps have time to improve this far out. I'd rather roll the dice with the energy coming out.
Anyweather
GFS went from dry OTS to insanely wet and warm. So....look for a solution some where in the middle
Ji
This is comical verbatim. We know its going to change about 5 times, but still. Perfect storm and now temps would be the issue Told you the Gfs would do a full cave tonight but it looked like it overcaved
PhineasC
Not sure I have ever seen two runs look more different within 6 hours than the 18Z GFS and 00Z GFS.

stormtracker
The GFS QPF is insane. If we had that look, but with cold available, that would the a massive blizzard. Way too violent a change here...not buying the extreme move
BaltimoreWxGuy
Question-why are we worrying about exact storm track and temps 120+ hours out? Take the only thing you can take from it...It has a storm and thats the important thing right now

thesnowsknows
Me likes the trend. IMO all we need now is blocking High. If the models keep supporting a general track that gives high QPF's I will take my chances if we have the blocking high. This is less dependent variables than we've had all year. psuhoffman
I said from the get go that temps could be a problem with this storm, and they might be. With that said, again I will take my chances with that h5 track, over southern VA. There is time for temps to change some, with that track it would not be hard, the surface low track is fine, just need the thermal profile to adjust a bit.
