Only way it works with the northern is if the northern stream were to dig BEHIND this system and come up from underneath and phasing BEFORE it reaches the apps though. Crazy. We finally have a shot at a phasing storm further west and the energy that could make it a monster doesn't phase and at the same time pushes it too far east instead of going underneath it. So much has to go right. I have Watched a few of these east coast lows, and I have seen several lows from the west merge with a low along or off the coast without going underneath it. However as Baro pointed out models are bound to have problems with everything going on in the PAC etc and that has implications on this and whether or not such a thing could happen. Modeling to me say's no go because i wuld prefer to see more ridging in the pacific. Note too i said IN the Pacific and not out west. That would be so it could dig a little further west and help pump up a bit more ridging in the east. Could still happen but will need some work and time is not on our side for such a system. I think 00z tonight will be very telling! it basically forms over new orleans....to ne GA...then rides the spine until VA where it heads more east to the del marva edit: winners appear to be from just south of Lexington, along the OH/WV border to PITT. If you go againist the man he gets very offensive and starts name calling. Why? If you are a good debater you DO NOT name call and make people feel like a pile of crap.
