storm is over by 12Z Fri on GFS and goes to around 10AM on NAM, which is one of the reasons for the discrepency

I think GFS is right and that baby keeps booking along

NAM had BOS and much of SNE with well over an inch of qpf for today's event and they were closer to half that amount

Not much difference at all between 12Z and 18Z GFS. Consistency is getting there... now how 'bout them temps?

I think you are infecting me with whatever pessimistic juju you have

The nam looks overdone to me, the gfs looks more reasonable in terms of qpf. I'm not sure about temps but the slower development probably is helping with temps. Most sref membrs seem to be more in line with the gfs amounts but most are warmer.
