Ian
Link is broken shouldnt be.. just a feedback error: im blaming the euro bias for no big storm up teh coast on this one
psuhoffman
it leaves all that stuff behind off the baja coast tho, not sure it matters. and it's like 100 days away anyway... yea its all messed up, actually cuts off the h5 and takes it south of us. Either way I like my chances with this setup better for a big snow. Actually need the GFS to trend NORTH for a change not south or west.
psuhoffman
GFS looks great. Good trends today. agreed, I dont want it showing a blizzard at this range...its right where I want it. Great setup, all messed up at the surface.

WxUSAF
Definitely nice potential on the GFS for the PSUHoffman storm. Want to see that upper low/trough get a neutral tilt around the time it passes the MS River, though. At the moment, it doesn't get a neutral tilt until the Apps, hence OTS. Ian
Yeah I'm with you on that. So is the EURO the only model not showing our nice little Thurs night- Friday event? the euro has it, but with seasonal trend lovin' also included

real
i know people really want snow but these are classic jumpers that screw us. im hopeful this isnt the case this time but knowing this winter... Aren't these the only thing we have to look forward to this winter. If we don't want to track these, we should just pack it in till next winter because what are the chances of perfect storm with a perfect track. As this ice storm demonstrated, expect the unexpected this winter, but don't expect an easy forecast.
