danstorm
This is ridiculous to me.... 4º here now. I get that with a warmer wind direction especially the mid layers of the atmosphere will warm.... but damn this is a COLD airmass! It always seems ridiculous but it happens all the time. The airmass replacing it is pretty warm too.
cheetah440
Bridge jumping for the NAM.lol. Still good news for the trials out there. Just hard to believe after 40" in some spots it's already down to snirt. Too many a-holes out riding for sure, but no base at all. 6" of slop and some rain would be a godsend and set us up for the rest of the year. 40/70 Benchmark
What a absolutely beauiful winter's night; the air has that crisp, fresh arctic feel and smell to it.....this winter is an absolute joy. 4.5\2 Too bad that high wasn't better positioned. ROOSTA
Forecast: ICE Can't go wrong. OT Did I mention the Jets suck. Fixed, money talks
leesun
NAM is about 4mb deeper with the low vs the 18z run and the SLP has virtually the same placement. The deeper storm is bringing up more mid level warming. A huge shift warmer in thermal profiles

Clinch Leatherwood
agreed. It's performance last week has no bearing on this storm Yes. A single storm over-performed even 12 hour 0z NAM forecasts and it's much revered because of it. Doesn't mean it'll change from what has been a dreadful two winters of performance the majority of the time. Still good news for the trials out there. Just hard to believe after 40" in some spots it's already down to snirt. Unless you came out of the womb wearing skiis you were once one of the aholes. I'm not sure what's worse the people tearing up the mountain or the people that ski by little kids doing 35 mph on green trails.
