People keep commenting on how incredible the inversion is here at the ski resort. This might just be one of the more strong inversions I've felt in a long time.

The best I can tell based on our weather stations and where you can physically feel the temperature jump, there's a line around 3,200-3,400ft where the temperature goes from the upper single digits to the mid 20s in like 200-300 vertical feet. And if you know a ski mountain, 300 vertical feet is nothing in the grand scheme of things... you can clear that amount of terrain in like 5 big swooping turns.

Its amazing to feel the temperature change 10-15F in literally seconds as you ride up the lift or ski down through the inversion.

13F here at 1,550

1/4" in the first hour of snow

Time to go back out... love skiing in falling snow with mountains obscured by snow and clouds. Always has that "storm" feel that we all love.

Anyone know when I started...

It was snowing pretty lightly at 6:30am, so it prob started at or around 6am

I would take that in a minute. anything over 6" up my way would be wonderful

This has taken on a Dec 16 type of appeal.....wouldn't be shocked if I ended up with 6-10"...you folks in NH are gonna get drilled.

I love the latitudnal positioning of the thermal gradient. lol

You called 3-5" yesterday for your area, seems reasonable. 6-10" if you're lucky, probably less than that, only because the snowgrowth blows.
