Damage In Tolland
Thanks, Will. I was hoping for your educated assessment. lol I'm thinking we'll need to warm the surface temps considerably after any transition from sn in order to get zr. Otherwise, I think it'll be a sleet-fest. I see a number of flights into/out of BDL are cancelled. Jamaica cancel? 11.4/8 Somehow I get the impression you're not that disappointed.seeing as you'd miss 2 winter storms. I never, ever plan vacations in the winter because I am always afraid I'll miss a snowstorm

CoastalWx
I wonder if sneaky low level cold will ooze towards BOS later tonight, as winds go north. It's not modeled, but it may be a very shallow layer coming down from Ray's fanny towards the coast, as winds go n to nw.

ORH_wxman
Scooter or Will..is that little s/w the Euro has for a quick wet pasting of snow tomorrow evening for all of SNE or just ene? NAM had it for more E MA/SE NH but GFS and Euro had some most of SNE though the best areas were still eastern half.

So basically we could all see at least a little more snow late tomorrow then?

I never, ever plan vacations in the winter because I am always afraid I'll miss a snowstorm EXACTLY. I would LOVE a cancellation. The trip is a work "reward". It was supposed to be for four nights, and I said I couldnt' go. I had to cave eventually and say I'd go for two. So, in actuality, I'll only miss the Friday system if the flights go. The funny thing is I only have a 45 minute layover in Charlotte so even if I'm delayed out of BDL, I might have to try to just come home or else I might not get down there until Thursday and have 8 hours in Montego Bay. Fun trip, huh? lol Based on Will's comment about the RUC, I'm thinking we might end up with higher end snows with little mixing if that were to play out. Yeah esp rough to have to leave right in the middle of one..provided your flight gets out..but at least you know your're really gonna miss a snow to ice storm, rather than all snow or a big one

It was just a temporary thing the RUC had for a couple hours down there...we'll probably all get overwhelmed in the mid-levels at some point later. Though obviously the difference of a couple hours could be key.

HoarfrostHubb
First post at American after seeing Eastern bite the bullet. Very excited about the next two weeks of weather and possibility of 36" snowpack. Only concern now is potential for freezing rain in the hills of northern worcester county. Last time (December 08) was a 2 week hit with no power. Hoping to stay all snow or sleet. Elevation around 1050'. Where are you? Mod, steady snow here in Hubbardston, about 1.0" so far Snow day for kids and for big kids like me
