Kmlwx
Temperature is actually cooling here it seems EDIT: Not anymore lol Kmlwx....I'm literally right next to 495 near Glen Echo & the Potomac (on the top of that hill to the ESE)... & I'm warmer than you... that ain't fair! Probably your proximity to the water.
BethesdaWX
Probably your proximity to the water. Yeah has to be... that might explain my overly high wind OBS when they come from that direction I guess. Edit:.....Actually, my wind explanation makes no sense when I think about it, the river is 150 yards away. Also..precip ending sooner than expected? BethesdaWX
I'm trying to decipher how much ice has accumulated, my guess is between 0.2-0.3" as a rough estimate, but that could be way off.
birdsofprey02
I just went outside, an annoying drip from roof onto recycling bin by my window was keeping me awake. We got a bit of snow for most of the storm. Everything looks glazed but I stepped onto the sidewalk and it's just crunchy where the snow is, didn't seem icy. It's still a very light drizzle, but seems like stuff isn't Freezing anymore. Temp is 31 and rising... -bel air, md
showmethesnow
Did fairly well here in York, PA just north of Manchester. 4 inches of snow fell with an icy crust on top. Currently have a temp of 25 degrees with fairly heavy sleet coming down after an hour or two of freezing rain.

Snowden
23 degrees here in East Loudoun, driveway and side street are frozen solid with about 1/3" ice. Looks like a telecommute day!
BethesdaWX
Still Freezing drizzle here. Around 0.4" of icy glaze, maybe more...well above expectations. Sitting around 31 degrees with a N wind. Well....I took a picture of the tree branches outside my house. I looked carefully at things, & there seems to be at least 0.4" of ice....not surprised if some folks have around 1/2" of ice. This picture does not truly capture the amount of ice... but these branches are weighed down about 15 feet lower than their usual height. Also heard a tree break on the woods earlier on. Its f**kin dangerous, the road is a friggin skating rink!

Dalfy
Wow I just went outside.. EVERYTHING (including roads though it didnt have as much ice as the grass/trees/metal surfaces/etc...) is caked in around .4-.5'' of ice (very crude measurement... basically I went to the grass and broke a large chunk of the ice layer to measure the thickness).. Im surprised we didnt loose power. It also seems there is a slushy layer underneath so its not as slippery as I expected...

real
Temperatures now appear to be just above freezing in Northwest DC. But so much ice accumulated on the side streets over night, street crews are actually plowing it off beside just salting.
nj2va
Stopped here. No way to tell how much ice but .1" good bet. Roads in my neighborhood are not treated at all. Govvie 2 hr delay FTW! Therefore I consider this storm an overperformer.
