Some people (read: most) have to get up in 4-5 hours.

Granted, I only got 4 hours of sleep today, but the point remains.

True, I just thought there would be a little more action in here I mean shoot, theres usualy more action this time at night in a EURO discussion thread about a storm 180 hours out

29.5, this is getting very bad very quick now, looks like over 0.15" ice accum, could reach a quarter inch or more at this rate in 2 hrs if temps can hold for a bit.

Interesting..thanks...holding steady at 30.2 here for the time being probably because getting some lighter radar returns, meanwhile BWI is now up to 30.

Well even if it doesnt, you have received a nice little ice storm..Its probably best if things warm up and get better for the morning commute, that way maybe we wont be dealing with mass accidents.

No arguments there! It's getting bad here - attached a dark picture but it still gets the point across. Sheet of ice on my road here...not slush...SOLID ice.

I would still say that a lot of the schools west of 95 will probably call it quits for tomorrow if we can't get to freezing by say 5:30am. Ice doesn't spontaneously melt it'll still be around even after we rise above.

This has been a decent storm - exciting too - not often we get good icing events here. and power here has NOT even flickered. PEPCO sure seems to have improved.

Mid 20s at all the reporting stations around, except SHD.

Snow in the early evening, to moderate freezing rain about 10. Freezing drizzle still ongoing.

The roads are covered, but they were salted very heavily prior, so I'm not sure how much is sticking in the travel lanes.

You're East of me, right? Good sign for me with ENE winds lol....I don't want to speak too soon, but the warming may be slowing, 30.1 & holding (?)

It has deff slowed a bit for me, Balt martin airport has been holding steady at 32 for the last hour or two, I still think its kinda due to lighter precip returns over this way though
