This is easily heavier than anything I saw last winter, maybe ever, winter-precip wise....even with it 1/2 sleet. NEXRAD showing 50dbz with this band.

No way man.. I just went out side as the 50 dbz's are over me...

The visibility is clear as can be.. it looks almost as if there is nothing falling outside.. the sound is loud though as I am practically all ip now... but visibility is not affected where as last year i couldnt even see my house from aruond 25-50 feet away.

Depends..are you getting mostly sleet? I've never seen sleet/snow fall as hard as it did in a long time. Visibility is something else completely.

It's cool to see the snow still mixing in....too bad we had that dry spell or we would have had well over an inch as it was obvious we were going to be snow. Oh well bring on the sleets

Indeed bro. surprised it is still 23 degrees though. Warm air upstairs is sneaking in though, oh well, sleet is better than plain ole rain.

looks like half inch on the table here

FWIW: DT just posted this on his Facebook Page criticizing LWX

Wxrisk.comNWSFO in DCA (sterling) has really dropped the ball with the freezing rain and sleet now falling ..and will fall over night...in Northern 1/3 of the VA and central MD. Winter storm warnings should of been up...
