vastateofmind
DC and OPM call set for 3:30am for those wondering. Great tip in advance of setting the alarm clock for tomorrow, thx. Down to 30 degrees even and HEAVY sleet in Hayfield Farm/Kingstowne area of SE FFxCo. In fact, I've never heard sleet this heavy, hitting the skylights AND the side of the house in the 20+ years I've lived in this area. Probably about 1/8" of sleet on grassy areas and pavements. real
This may turn out to be the worst sleet storm since that Valentines Day storm.. When was that, like 2006 or 2007? I remember it was suppose to turn to rain overnight. I went to bed and could barely sleep all night cause the sound of the sleet. I woke up and there was like 4 to 6 inches of sleet on all the roads --- and they were trying to plow it, but didn't work out so well.. This will be NOTHING like that, but don't recall another good size sleet event here in a few years.

Sleet change over now in Herndon. Still some snow mixing in, but about 85/15 sleet/snow. Hope the snow holds out for you.
North Balti Zen
I've seen some really nice sleet events in my time, including a 10-hour sleet event once in memphis just before Christmas. Really can do a number on the roads if it goes on long enough.
marked8
There is around a half inch of sleet in Manassas. I hate sleet. I lived through an 8 inch sleet storm in North Carolina in 1987.

NattyBo
Just got back from a Jebwalk in downtown Rockville. Got a solid dusting of snow but you can just hear the sleet or zr or whatever is falling pinging off of everything, mixed with fat snowflakes. 25 degrees here. It was a pretty slippery Jebwalk.
