haudidoody
Still 50/50 freezing rain sleet here. Some portions of cars that weren't heated prior to parking have a grayish tone to them. Very exciting.

MD Snow
High QPF numbers are going to be ruined though...Heavy freezing rain doesnt 'accrue' well and heavy sleet doesnt accumulate quickly....a bummer if you ask me. Don't really care buddy. It's an ice rink out there right now. I'm enjoying it and hope it all melts by the morning.

LOL, not so true, it doesnt accrue well at temps of 30,31 and 32 degrees, if you have temps at 26-27-28 degrees, it acrrues just fine. I had that in Dec 2008 and it was a total mess for months on end
lsukev
Flake size has me worried about upper levels, these things are at least quarter sized. I probably go over to sleet soon. Growing up in New Orleans, that's all we ever saw was huge flakes, because we were always on the fringe. I never knew they could be so small until I moved here in 2009. LWX forecast seems right on. 1" of snow, up to .10" of ice later.

Dcwx
How are the tree limbs around the area? Given my experience growing up in the south with ice storms, wouldnt be surprised to see some widespread power outages with all of the exposed power lines to tree limbs in DC. Are you driving? Give it a rest, good lord. Sleet is icy too. Your constant need to call attention to yourself with negative crap gets old. real
Temp has fallen a bit on the nearby Weatherbug station to around 23.5. Have not looked at other stations near here. Some of these temperatures in the not-so-far out suburbs are surprisingly low.. This could be get pretty pretty brutal overnight once the sleet transitions over to frz rain.
