Just got home from a Basketball Game at AC Reynolds...crossed Old Fort Mountain and it began snowing/sleet about half-way down. Time I got to Old Fort city limits it was coming down moderately. 5 miles later in the Greenlee Community, the ground and US 70 is covered. I got a solid dusting here at my house, 33 degrees...

The 04z RUC is showing an additional .1" to .15" of precipitation between now and 4am here along the NC/VA border and looking at radar that looks possible. I am guessing that I am closing in on .10" of ice on all elevated surfaces now with a temperature of 29.8. While .10 to .20 of an inch is not a damaging ice event, it is still significant and much more than expected.
