cyclone77
Looks like the final total will be 2.7" here. Snow is basically over. Also picked up a few tenths or so of rainfall today. Brings our snow depth up to a bit over 4".
Chicago WX
hows the snowpack doing? Fine for the most part, but it probably gets beaten up pretty good overnight as temps hold in the mid/upper 30's. But looks like we'll be replenishing soon enough. sc2man13
This is a fun one...the snow/mixed line is about 5 miles north and it has remained stationary or near stationary for a while now...bleh

Powerball
After what I thought would be a mostly precipitaiton free night, radar retuns just popped up out of nowhere. Now if we were expecting snow this stuff would have never developed and we'd waiting on the moisture out west all night.
Hoosier
Interestingly, LAF is reporting unknown precipitation on the last ob. Might head outside to see what's up.
sc2man13
GVSU web cam http://148.61.142.228/view/index.shtml Seeing that cam inspired me to go outside, the story has been quite different here about 20 miles east. ZR has stopped and now its sleet, graupel and a few snowflakes. Hopefully a move in the right direction!
L.B. LaForce
Can't believe you used that term. Haha, yep. Sleet/Ice Pellets, who cares. I know NWS uses sleet, but iirc, one of my met. professors said everywhere else they use ice pellets
Powerball
And this stuff developed just as our sounding (except at the surface) went above freezing since this storm began. It'll probably be freezing rain.

Thundersnow12
Just had a nasty drive home from class at COD, wow. took 88 west home cause I figured butterfied would be worse. It was good till about rt 59 and then the heavens opened and it started pouring +SN with monster flakes, was going probably 20mph with hardly any vis. was like like till farnsworth for a bit of a break only to pick back up again near my house. 88 and the main roads by me are completely snow covered, a solid 2" I would say here. I wasn't home all day, my mom said we had sleet and rain for awhile but solid snow since about 7pm. what an event, wasn't expecting this on the backside, although the NAM/RUC were hinting at this. Haha yeah, it's been an interesting day. I thought we were done too after we had several hours of freezing rain/rain/sleet, but the back end gave us some nice bonus snow. Good to see you guys get some decent snow.

First of all, how many surprise and overachieving snowfalls did we see the last week alone? Several.
