HIPPYVALLEY
Looks like a snow storm for northern Mass. Looks like the flight out of bdl would go as scheduled wed a.m. Hopefully good for all of us N of RT 2. I'm not really psyched for an ice storm though. 1.5" down here already. Surely breaking 2" with this lil' clipper.
Organizing Low
I have trouble buying the GFS right now. well the overnight euro had the low well off the coast, so ya never know. it doesnt look like there is any real consensus between EC/GFS/GEM/NAM, havent seen the ukie
Ginx snewx
I have trouble buying the GFS right now. Either we need a ripping off shore coastal with an invt like the old Euro or a weak POS, current NAM Euro runs would suck

Logan11
It looks like the Euro would be a sandwich solution here..Snow to ice and back to snow Tuesday evening as the low finally takes shape over in E. NE. well the overnight euro had the low well off the coast, so ya never know. it doesnt look like there is any real consensus between EC/GFS/GEM/NAM, havent seen the ukie

Logan11
1.2" here today...could be a few bands that still make it east tonight so perhaps a tad more. It adds a pretty fresh covering to the snow pack. This was much bigger only about 30 miles north of here in the southern Dacks ...4 to 6 inches generally. Yea its really pretty out our way tonight. I love it. Cold and light snow never gets old.

40/70 Benchmark
I don't think 6-10" qualifies as a MECS Oh whatever....the thing is almost a week out; who gives a sh** about everyone's ghey fetish criteria.

40/70 Benchmark
If the EC in question is the Roanoke area it would be, but yeah, that's a pretty ordinary storm for these parts. Dude, the EC gave evryone 1"-1.25" tops for the last HECS, 12-24 hrs out....are we really bit**ing about the exact classification via QPF almost a week out...Christ. 40/70 Benchmark
Oh, I thought you said that 6-10" is a MECS. Maybe I misread. I really didn't give it much thought because it's a week out....QPF would imply 6-10", but who cares......I could see that being a MECS. I guess I should be careful about how I word things aorund here, but foregive me for not being attentive to semantics at this range.

CoastalWx
Even if we only get 1-2" inches on the CP. So long as it's not 1-2" of 55F rain, snowpack should be just fine. Added rain will bulletproof it.

CoastalWx
Everyones snowpack should have a net gain from it I hope, for my sake. My gut says most areas will not torch, but I hope I'm right. It could be a classic se mass crossing of low pressure.
CoastalWx
Cold rain........ftw Yeah I was hoping at least 1-2" of snow before any changeover in my hood. Just so long as it's not a 55F rain, which I don't think it will be.It would suck to see some of the snow melt off the trees, but oh well.
