MaineJayhawk
Looks like the first warning have been hoisted. PHL has put NW NJ and neigboring PA counties through Reading/Allentown in the pink. That's an upgrade - they were under an advisory.

Ginx snewx
For CT folks, all the meso models point to NW CT and the far upper reaches of CT, Union? as having surface ice issues, the rest of CT quickly transitions after 1-4 thumpidity thump. Belly to belly beauty around NE, hate to see NCP in the forecast, sleet would be mucho better. MM5 has some 1 .5 spots in SE CT, that's ugly with 40-42degrees, fog, lots of yuck. H85 0C line still below the Pike and in fact just north of S Coast in eastern regions at 21Z. Even at 00z, although it tips at the surface I think. Tremendous VV's cooling the lower to mid levels means a snowbomb for some..even near the coast. That would smoke ORH.

simpsonsbuff
I'm not sure I've ever seen what Gray just did. They just went 6+ (generally without an upper part of the range) in a warning. Not saying that's a bad call (situation is volatile), but it's interesting.

CoastalWx
hope that dynamic cooling goes to work tommorrow pm. seems like a lot of now cast potential. and where heavy precip goes over. When you have large isothermal layers, where VV's could cause it to cool even by 1degree F, it def becomes a nowcast thing. This could very well have surprises in it. Perhaps some areas that mix with rain, flip to snow for a few hours as the big vv's come in..and then turn to rain again as boundary layer warms. I could see that for some cstl areas. Will could tell you, but e-ne winds are great for ORH hills. They could get hit good, if mid levels don't warm too quick. Very tough forecast near and just north of the Pike..esp inland.
