Ice is possible later, but it may still be all snow if trends continue.

NorEastermass128
25 minutes until the euro hoping it looks good Hmm..00z EURO had 1.2" QPF IMBY (Half was snow) I'd love a heavy wet 3-6" snow with sleet/rain on top. Maybe when I come home 5/15, there will still be some piles

Logan11
Thanks for expanding the GFS clown map back into ENY..... I'd take the 8" if it was true. Realistically I'm thinking more like 4 to 6", but hopefully avoid any fzra here. Welll then I guess you'll like this:
Boston-winter08
That GFS clown map is out to 120 hours, so most likely a lot of that is the Friday storm, correct?

Logan11
We accompanied my German relatives to a small resort in the Tirol outside Bolzano (Bozen in German) and Merano (Meran in German) in the mid/late 70's. That area has many ethnic Germans and the small village of Merantzen was mostly German. I recall taking a ride to Cortina and seeing the Olympic facilities...then not so far removed yet from the games in '56. I drove via Thusis and St Moritz....through Bolzano and Trento up in the mountains on the Italian side. Spectacular but I did it in late May/June...not sure it would be safe now. Friday's event is ON! Tomorrow I get an airport delay....probably until we go warmer. You guys inland should do quite well as will NNE all the way to the coast.
