HoarfrostHubb
Going to have to shovel the roof again. LOL... actually heading to the out-laws in the morning to clear off part of their roof. As section of their house has a sort of flat roof and they are worried about either rain soaking in or more snow. I told them worry about the latter. Seriously Scott, what are your thoughts about timing/accum here Tuesday. Kind of an important day for me with meetings lined up. I'd rather cancel and ski. Be careful, we've had to repair a lot of roofs after people have cleared snow off them. Helpful Hints: Pieces of shingles should not be mixed in with the snow. Hatchets and ice chisels should be avoided. Crampons, while they provide traction, can create unforeseen problems.

mattlacroix4
The Euro ensembles seemed to have a similar solution to the NAM with a stronger low tracking over or east of the Cape. Interesting. I am officially interested now, what looked like a snow to rain, may be more of a snow? I love the possibly. I think two factors come into play, how much cold can hold, and how much the storm can develop off the coast before it reaches New England. cpickett79
what is the key to keeping mid levels cool? 1. a weak Ohio valley low (or none) 2. and a stronger coastal tracking just E of CHH?

Hmm, clown map shows a general 6-10" here on the East slope. But, it's the Nam, when was the last time THAT model was right.

I don't think the heavier stuff comes in until near or just after noontime. I'd say the risk is greater than 6" for you, but it could be more. Thanks Scott, Box currently has snow or possibly a sn/ip mix with a 1/2 to 3/4" qpf but that hasn't been updated recently. I'm already looking past this 'event' and getting more interested with the possible weekend system. I hate this work thing as it's negatively impacting my ability to ski everyday.. shawnmov
Could use a nice surprise snow vs. rain/sleet/frzrn situation after the Pats debacle for a diversion. A little OT I know, but man, I'm reeling. Need a nice surprise this week, big time.
