Yukon Cornelius
Just reading this for the first time...great write up! The order of events unfolding along with the illustrations really help a hobbyist like myself put the pieces together to see what/how that storm evolved (even though I don't understand all of it). ORH_wxman
Bump.. What if any differences are there with this storm compared to the Jan 12th superbomb? Southern stream system...5h vortex doesn't track as optimal as Jan 12th....kicker is more of an issue this time to boot the storm out quickly. We'd need 5h to come in much closer than guidance indicates and intensify rapidly at the same time to boot...fairly unlikely to happen, but not impossible. This will probably be more of a 6-8 hour event (if you exclude any light snow we get this afternoon from front end stuff)....but we'll definitely see what happens.
