dmc76
Wow. Hope it holds together! Very light snow falling, hard to tell how much has fallen but definitely several tenths as the roads/sidewalks are all white...man if that radar holds... Harry
BTW.. This is what amazes me. The other day had that thin tiny little band and it poured heavy snow while now there is a nice blob on radar that looks much better showing what should be heavy duty snow but ala it is very light stuff. Harry
Well now it is *trying* to pick up. Some nice very big fluffy flakes falling now picking up in intensity slowly but surely. See what happens.

BowMeHunter
Congrats and good luck BTW. Congrats on your snow this AM Thanks so much! You guys gave a us a great game and scare as expected you guys would. Hopefully we can meet up again next season for a rematch. Man - I still can't believe we're going to the SB and I'm still numb outside of my pounding head.. Mini Keg of Hopslam and a few to many shots of Tequila later at the bar had me feeling wonderful until this morning.. Neighbor snow blowing 3/4" of snow a lil before 7am didn't help. Chicago WX
At least we added some snow...we really shouldn't lose much though. Yep, no biggie. I was being mainly sarcastic about the torch part. I've kind of started to move on from the "need to retain the snow pack" to "need to find a 6"+ snowstorm". Our snow cover days this winter is already pretty dang good. michsnowfreak
Has quickly tapered off to light snow with small flakes but boy was it snowing nice with nice dendrites for a while. But radar looks like maybe a few more bursts may come.Took some pics too, was out driving and the visibility was low and roads bad, like a mini-snowstorm. Measured at 115pm we had 1.1" so far, so definitely an overperformer

BowMeHunter
Thought the totals out west and east to detroit would be a lot be higher than Josh's 1.1 as along 75 south of detroit was getting boned. while the radar was lit up to the west of detroit. Hopefully some of those green spots moving in from the SE can drop some decent snow. .REMARKS.. 0100 PM SNOW 1 SE ANN ARBOR 42.27N 83.72W 01/24/2011 M1.3 INCH WASHTENAW MI CO-OP OBSERVER 6 HOUR TOTAL 0100 PM SNOW FLINT 43.02N 83.69W 01/24/2011 M1.4 INCH GENESEE MI OFFICIAL NWS OBS 6 HOUR TOTAL 0100 PM SNOW ROMULUS 42.22N 83.37W 01/24/2011 M1.0 INCH WAYNE MI OFFICIAL NWS OBS 6 HOUR TOTAL AT DETROIT METRO AIRPORT

Will be interesting to see what the final totals are once the snow stops, especially out towards Ann Arbor. Either way, with a forecast yesterday of half inch and this morning to see it bumped up to 0.5-1", and know we are already over 1", its a good event Those nickels and dimes keep piling up... The_Global_Warmer
Had 4-4.5 from the 1st system 5 days ago. Then had 1 inch or so yesterday. Have now seen moderate to heavy snow 7-8 times this year. With 5 times accumulations of 1 inch or more. now have 3 inched left, mid 30s and melting. Expect to keep snowpack in shade until Friday and big mounds will last until the next arctic front arrives. 12z EURO looks extremely cold. has 1 system north day 4-5 to shove the cold south then another storm..then brutal cold

cyclone77
Had a little glaze of ice early this morning from some freezing drizzle. There's so much salt on the roads though that it wasn't too bad. Sun trying to break out here, with a temp of 22. Feels pretty warm compared to the last few days. Still have a snow depth hovering around 4".
