Confuzzled
My first core sample based on 12 inches of snow was 1.5 qpf.....ratios were bad and I just shoveled about a ton of moderate to heavy snow. That is a ratio of 8-1 here in Waterbury, CT Now I will say that my snowboard was only 10-15 feet from the house and all the snow I shoveled was near the house. But even with that I would be surprised if I got better than 10:1. It just seems odd because by that I received 2" of qpf since I got another 6" on top of the first 12. I pushed a cylinder (like a coffee can of sorts, all the way down to the board and just let it melt.... 1.5" of qpf... I made a booboo, I think it means I received 2.25" of qpf but that is a very large amount!

NB-Weather
Still snowing at a pretty good pace right now.. probably an inch an hour or so. Wasn't planning on uploading any more pictures but heres 2 more!! Probably not the more accurate way to measure snow but o well. Almost every single car in the area that we measured from had between 20 and 26 inches. Not fun cleaning off cars.. haha Snow accumulation from this one car (was taken at 8:30, added a few inches at most to it)

cpickett79
Nice dendrites, getting crushed now. Heavy heavy 2-3 an hour fluff. it appears some of that is from the moisture laden GOM .....which is feeding that band which works from main coast back to NH and now got juiced up 2 hours ago and bends back SE thru RI. enjoy i think the better your latitude the better you do with that band in general

weatherMA
wow how can that be? 20's up in my area according to that map but I just measured 12" Yeah the map seemed a little high to me for areas west of Worcester who didn't get into the banding. For ORH-east and CT, as well as far western mass it seems very accurate. In between ORH and Western Mass there was a mini screw zone in some areas it seems with maybe 12-16" instead of 16-22" lol. weatherwiz
This has certainly, by far, been the best and most exciting time of my weather board career...NOTHING has come close to matching this, and this includes the back-to-back tornado watch days this summer. Damage In Tolland
It's these mini little heavy bands that sit over certain places that make all the diffeence in these big KU's. They can add on 6-12 inches while other towns get half that
