mostman
<br />Dry slot in metro west is nasty....I was in the east edge for awhile, but the Essex CO fun is edging in....hopefully the ORH orgy joins it. Stuck in it right now. With a giant deform 15 miles to my west. WTF.
CT Rain
Do you know who and how they do the measuring up there? They contract some guys at the air national guard. Their totals have been great the past few years with that system but the blizzard on the 26th was a disaster up there.
Confuzzled
My first core sample based on 12 inches of snow was 1.5 qpf.....ratios were bad and I just shoveled about a ton of moderate to heavy snow. That is a ratio of 8-1 here in Waterbury, CT Now I will say that my snowboard was only 10-15 feet from the house and all the snow I shoveled was near the house. But even with that I would be surprised if I got better than 10:1. It just seems odd because by that I received 2" of qpf since I got another 6" on top of the first 12. I pushed a cylinder (like a coffee can of sorts, all the way down to the board and just let it melt.... 1.5" of qpf...
weathafella
Dry slot in metro west is nasty....I was in the east edge for awhile, but the Essex CO fun is edging in....hopefully the ORH orgy joins it. I've been on the east edge of the slut. But maybe Essex Cty band moves down and the ORH band moves in later. Better flakes now but not more than light to mdt intensity. JJBASHB
Nice dendrites, getting crushed now. Heavy heavy 2-3 an hour fluff.
Hambone
16" on level ground. There's probably some compaction because the first 8 or 9" fell when it was 31.8F I'm on the western edge of the dry slot. Light snow right now. If that band in Worcester rotates through we could pick up another inch or two easily.
hammerz_nailz
16.5 to 17" here ...doesn't include adding anything for compaction

For sure for east of HVN, I picked up about an inch since I measured 2.5 hours ago with what I thought was the storm total. There was the sun but nooo, it held together north of me, came down, and kept snowing.
