Quincy
Thought this might be appropriate. Went for about a half hour walk around Danbury this morning. Spoke to my landlord about the storm and interestingly enough, I found out that he was tracking the storm too and knew about the NAM and WRF models. Interesting. Anyway, about 18 inches as of 7:00 A.M. and I was mildly surprised to see heavy snow and low visibilities continue. That band of heavy snow has been very persistent over western CT and has extended into central sections as well.

Quincy
21 inches in the books. area totals seem to be skewed a bit high, even some of my neighbors claimed to measure a significant amount more than I did, but I literally walked a half mile making several measurements earlier. Likely the difference from measuring on the deck right out back (where excess snow accumulation is likely) versus taking representative measurements in an open area... Nice pictures all! patrick05
some photos i took... got 13 inches... i think this was during the dryslot, or probably right before it... sunrise: one of the moderate bands at around 7/8 am: sun finally breaking through the clouds: plow truck early this time; last storm we had to wait til the late afternoon... car's covered haha this electric snow shovel/blower helped a lot; still have to do it by layers though since it can only shovel 4-6" deep at a time... patrick05
also got a couple of videos: crappy timelapse: the view's not great, i have to find a better place next time.. trying out the electric snow blower.. works great!!
