ayuud
This was on top of the weather.gov page "Every state, with the exception of Florida, currently has snow on the ground. This includes Hawaii where about seven inches of snow is atop Mauna Kea. As of Jan. 11, 69.4 percent of the contiguous United States is covered by snow - this is more than double the snow cover from last month. This week's snow storm in Southern states has allowed for this unusual occurrence." WOW!
Jaguars
I remember this happened last year too except some parts in Florida had snow as well so all 50 had some snow cover. Pretty amazing this is essentially happening in back to back seasons.

dbc
What part of Florida has snow? Based on the map posted I would imagine right at the intersection of Florida, Georgia and Alabama the snow is visibly on the ground in that area of Florida. NoVaSnow
The graphic clearly illustrates what a snow hole Virginia is this year. Yes, there is snow cover, but look at the color scale.

Yeah I've always been of the opinion that the CPC weights ENSO theory and analogs too much in their seasonal outlooks. Obviously there are significant processes going on that are not known or appropriately accounted for.
nj2va
Take a snapshot of the snow cover this afternoon. Anywhere south facing around me is already bare grass/ground again.

That hole is right where the ridiculous fault is too that will produce an epic earthquake one day. So yeah, you're definitely right about that.
