radiator
So far, almost no reported power outages in CT (0 for UI, 105 for CL&P). Quite different from the blizzard experience...
Collinsville
Can someone soothe me here? I have an inch of snow on the ground and am watching a massive dryslot eyeing my face. http://radar.weather...id=okx&loop=yes I hope this thing tucks in soon. Where are you? cpickett79
There's basically a line of convection extending for about 200 miles SE of Montauk LI....that is getting ripped NW into the system by the massive inflow. ORH is about to get smoked ....radar shows the heavy heavies about to fall into that nice cold air on the hills.
PineHillsWx
Looking at radar I'm concerned at how fast this is moving, am I wrong to be worried, I was hoping it would at least snow lightly into tomorrow afternoon, it looks like this is moving real quick....of course, I'm not a met. I'm getting crushed too....probably close to 10" here by now at 350' elevation in Southern Westchester....the deformation axis from Central NJ through Westchester into C/NW CT is amazing. MarkO
lll I think it's actually right on top of me because I'm rising....30.5\29 Fine by me; rather be right where the ocean shakes hands with the polar express. Holy crap, it's coming down. 1.25" temp up to 28.5, wind picking up. Jeeze, and I was on my way to bed...
ORH_wxman
Is that slut gonna get pinched off? Yeah it should...it will probably come close enough to affect SE CT and parts of RI and SE MA...but I think its going to be filling in and get pinched off as it tries to go NE. It is an amazing thing. The convection is is getting ingested straight up directly into the divergent portion of the active jet stream basically from surface to 300. The jet undulations are amazing too. Classic look for an intense beast.
