Chrisrotary12
Going to be down to flurries soon enough here. That was fun. Let's do it for a third time next week. Ya same time next week?
moneypitmike
NAM nailed that stalled band out in the Berks. It had that for about 36 hrs. That's the band with a probably trowal feature too, that I mentioned yesterday..coming from nne. The heaviest of it is just west of me, but I've been getting heavy snow all morning. Don't know if I've had such extended snow in a strong NNW wind before. Neat.
ORH_wxman
I'm about done...need some serious sleep...any other snow I get will have to be documented by the radar...if I get into a 2" per hour band, Scott, text me...otherwise I'm out. I think I'll probably pick up another couple inches. I'll go out for one final measurement now, but its probably like 14"...maybe15" if i underestimated this snow growth. Its been very good. Kbosch
Last night the last thing I said was the qpf would be exactly where the nam pinned it. Exactly where the gfs was showing the max to be in ct. But like i said I was wrong on the track. It happens. The nam schooled the euro, and every other model. The 0z kind of stunk on temp profiles here, but it did very well highlighting everything else. It goes to show tt was right. This is the 2nd or third blizzard warning were a ton of people woke up to clear streets. I'd say Boston tv mets - Harv nailed it. Right down to the max zones but even all of them are coming in way low. It happens I was wrong. I'm usually the big fan of the nam v euro it figures the one time I flip the other way the euro lays a deuce Alright, all understandable. And not criticizing you personally or your call/skills but saying the NAM sucked was like "really!?" to me. It's a dear friend of mine now and I shall defend it vigorously Tip's idea was right, and I think it became a matter of trusting its meso skills in this specific situation. I can understand why some wouldn't, especially when it spits out what it did, but it seemed like the globals could do no wrong to many (not just you). Good on you for saying what you did! Mike any idea how much ...ball park...glad you didn't get the shaft..... it did look like about 8 miles west got bombarded. i await totals that make people shake their heads out of savoy state park....30 inches also really snow hard here.....not as much as rombalski is seeing right now in medfield as the town now is into the western side of the heavy band but pretty close. over 1/hr once again as i can't see across route 9 for the time being. Damage In Tolland
Definitely jealous watching folks to the west get smoked. 14" isn't bad though. Still ripping here not quite as heavy but inch per hr snows..you should pick up another 3-

Collinsville
For those with qpf verification fetishes. My first snow core had 1.02" of liquid for the first 11.5" of snow. There will be more added to that obviously.
