OKpowdah
Hoping to break 18" here...but not sure we can make it like the snow hounds in SW CT. Got 13.7" now...but the bands are becoming a bit more erratic...but we still have a few hours to go to see what this final CCB might do...maybe this final fireworks show I predicted will never happen either. If you're at 13.7" now, you should have no problem at all breaking 18" Subsidence zone has filled in, and back to moderate to near heavy snow. Snow growth is still back and forth. It'd be nice just to have solid period with good dendrites. Hoping maybe by late morning I could get some decent rates before things start to calm down here. NJwinter23
EPic epic snowstorm..this was what happened in Jersey a few weeks ago I will have to defend my beloved boxing day storm..We had 10 straight hours of heavy snow with 40-50+mph wind gusts and a true whiteout. This wind also forced the 24 inches to accumulate the hard way, the compacted way. We truly managed a 10:1 ratio 24" snow storm with crazy winds and cold temps. So I gotta hand it to Boxing Day mostly because of the wind factor which was soooo rare. This storm is awfully impressive though!!
moneypitmike
I think this event is taking on an oes appeal. I think this event is awesome:)

Clinch Leatherwood
Sam ftw on that relative mesoscale screw zone in central MA because of the mid-level low jump east. Mm5 did very well hitting frozen probabilities or at least okay. Hrrr wasn't warm enough. Ruc probably did best highlighting this warm push. We did well here considering the 8h track. wxsniss
Heavy snow continues in Brookline, MA but winds...? surprisingly calm out there... Most stations reporting calm to < 10 mph winds, with the exception of areas on the Cape.

I dunno....was out at Pierce Park with the dog an hour ago and it was kind of windy but certainly not bliizz worthy. However as the low cranking moves abeam it may get crazy while snow is still coming down pretty good. We'll see. Great flake quality.
