danstorm
Someone beat me to it... yeah, I'm in Ridgefield... I kind of thought I was hallucinating when I hung that 18 pic on y'all earlier... band not as intense but still 0.75-1/hr. snows and not moving at all. I am speechless and exhausted and have way too much work to do... but tonight was worth it. ********************STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL********************LOCATION STORM TOTAL TIME/DATE COMMENTS SNOWFALL OF /INCHES/ MEASUREMENTCONNECTICUT...FAIRFIELD COUNTY... mattlacroix4
OK so the NAM and GFS beefed me up in amounts, I know it is during the storm, but can someone tell me what the Euro gave for Portland, ME?
Sn0waddict
Nice, not bad at all, you were in that nasty dry slot for a while, this band is absolutely dumping nuggets right now. I wish I could measure it, but I can't find my yard stick. I have a 12" ruler, but it's pretty obvious we already have more than a foot
ORH_wxman
I measure 11" here. Out for one now..I meaeured 11" about 45 min ago..but we have been tearing S+ the whole time except maybe a brief moderate interruption. Upslope is perfect for my are in N ORH..wel not perfect...perfect would be like a 100 wind direction but that woul dlikely be a rainstorm....for snow events, I like 050 wind. Damage In Tolland
IR sat looks like that CCB could just sit and rot over CT. Cloud tops moving SE to NW. I honestly believe CT is gonna be jackpot from this even with the CCB in ENE
weathafella
Incidentally when I was out with the dog about 15 minutes ago, snow had moved down to moderate. But several large limbs lay strewn around the open spaces and one blocking the sidewalk up the street. The dog squats under a tree and I held my breath.. As we came home, snow increased in intensity again and now it's heavy again but not as intense as when I looked out my bedroom window around 4:30AM. HIPPYVALLEY
Picked a good time to walk the dog - absolutely pounding snow here right now. 5 measurements I took were between 9.5" - 10". Almost champagne powder. About 1.5" in the last 70 minutes. Wind is really starting to whip now.
