Tolland Death Band
Buried here...my guess is 13-14". My 80 lb Golden disappeared to his shoulders when he went out to take a leak. LOL. He's a weenie dog and stayed out there for 15 minutes.

40/70 Benchmark
My most comparable experience to this is my 3rd favorite event ever: Dec 1992. I feel like a child. This won't touch April 1997 and prob not Jan 2005, but it will come close to the latter, since I grade wetter snow higher than sugar.

CoastalWx
I hope ur right...ive been in a semi screw zone last 1 1/2 hours...only a 1/2 to 3/4 inch during that time. Snowflake quality not that good. I think you are on the srn edge of that band. It looks like the trends show it orienting more e-w, but a subtle shift se. Hopefully it continues. I wonder if there is a sneaky marginal layer in there too.

wokeupthisam
Somehow, some way, Francestown and Wilton are going to come in 2-3'' higher than me even though they've been in 10-15dBZ crap. Clockwork. yup they'll grab a sick band swinging thru on the back end before it dissipates and add 4" Still looks pretty ferocious out there even though the radar intensity is down a bit, the wind is making up for it with this drier snow

Confuzzled
You can measure however many times you want...but just don't clear for 6 hours. I usually just go out once per hour to measure and then clear every 6 hours while taking a snow core and melting it down for the water equiv. It's going to be tough to do that for this storm due to the wind though. When I clear the board, do I clear a little of the area around it too, or put the board back in the hole, or put it on top of the new snow? I am thinking a hole with the wind will skew results as snow gets stuck in there...
